My Virtual Adventure!

After downloading the full version of the program we used for class, I had a lot of fun exploring multiple worlds and even found myself still looking around after I had taken my 12 screenshots. This reminded me of exploring stuff in video games when I was a little kid. This "assignment" brought back a lot of great memories, and without further ado... Here's what I found!

I began by picking worlds to explore based on the curiosity sparked by their name. My first stop was to a "German Fire Fighting Museum".
Upon entering, I realized that the Budweiser chariot got the invite to this world before I did (kidding). After a little research on the side I learned that in the 1800's, horses were added to fire "engines" to make response time to fires quicker!
More background info on this can be found at http://publicdomainreview.org/collections/horse-drawn-fire-engines-1896/
After this I ventured to the back of the room to find a chronological timeline depicted on the wall, all pertaining to things fire-related!
I then exited the fire museum because other journeys awaited me. The next world I visited was called "Remote Library Island". I mean come on, who wouldn't want to explore a remote island?!
As you can see, my avatar spent some serious time in the gym between the last world and this one... and also became a superhero along the line somewhere but that's another story for another time. I couldn't help but notice one building saying "Farewell!" above it, however I was a bit confused to find that it is an average sauna inside.
After getting my sauna on, I walked over to this nice, cozy warm log cabin which is where my journey ended in this world... On the off chance you're wondering, no I did not find anything library related on "Remote Library Island". Maybe this is just a comfy place to read a book.
My next stop was a place called "Kastelli School" and was sadly the most uneventful stop of my adventure, but still contained a big area to explore.
I was spawned into a big auditorium-looking building, complete with bleacher seats and a huge open floor. I got the feeling it was an unfinished basketball court, but I could be wrong. Also, depicted on the walls were various web pages and instructions on how to control my avatar.
I found a portal that brought me to another building, which was pretty detailed, especially the amount of doors! Sadly, they all either did not open, or entered an empty room.

Quickly getting bored in that maize of doors and bleachers, I thought the "Circus" sounded like a cool place to check out next and it did not disappoint at all.
This world was awesome! Even came complete with an INDOOR roller coaster.
The circus was completely different from the first three places I visited, there was music and all kinds of stuff to interact with. The layout of the session was also different, this was possibly the most detailed world I visited.

My 5th stop was a place called "Lunar World"... simply because it was called "Lunar World", and space is awesome.
The first thing I saw when I got here was this awesome space ship! It seemed to have ocean waves crashing on it which did not make much sense, but who cares, it was cool!

It did't seem like there was much else to see in this world, that was until I looked up and saw something floating very high above me. Luckily my avatar became a superhero between worlds 1 and 2 and thus figured out how to fly up to the floating object... what it is however, is anyone's guess.

The last place I visited had a very interest-peaking name and was called "Beneath the Waves", so I jumped in to see what was going on in the land (literally) down under.
I found myself in a small, yet super cool underwater room where I could see fish swimming around me. A bit like an aquarium, but instead of the fish being in a tank and me observing from the outside, I was inside the tank just watching them carry out their fish business.

My last screenshot I zoomed out to get a better idea of where I was, and aside from my initial thought of maybe this is Sandy the Squirrel's house from Spongebob, I couldn't help but think how awesome this would be if it was real!

This was a really fun assignment, hope you guys like it!

Hi!
My name is Demetri Leris, I'm a junior at BC and this is my first online class. I am from New York, although not NYC, just a little town in upstate. In my spare time I like to go to the gym, usually the plex here at BC. My favorite sport is boxing, although I have never competed myself. I'm looking fwd to a good semester!
